Although the cause of hair loss is not yet fully understood, there are many underlying factors that are shown to be associated with the loss of function of our hair follicles as we age. Daytona® HL is aimed at treating the known factors in order to stop the progress of hair loss and stimulate the re-growth of new hair. Daytona® HL uses Growth Factor Cytokines, Coenzymes, Vitamins, Minerals and Amino Acids to provide a localized increase in blood flow to nourish and rejuvenate the cells. What makes Daytona® HL unique however, are the three main components that are directly related to the treatment of hair loss, Glutathione, an antioxidant well known for its ability to stimulate cell growth, as well as two other key Growth Factors used in the production of hair.
BASIC FIBROBLAST GROWTH FACTOR VASCULAR ENDOTHELIAL GROWTH FACTOR
Hair growth depends on the ability of dermal papilla cells to synthesize and release growth hormones. The growth hormones are then used by hair follicles to generate hair cells. Daytona® HL incorporates two of the main Growth Factors needed to generate papilla cells: basic fibroblast growth factor (bFGF), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).
The general function of vascular endothelial growth factor is the promotion of endothelial cell growth, which leads to the generation and organization of endothelial cells into tube-like structures. This effect causes angiogenesis, the growth of new dermal papilla cells. These cells act directly on hair follicles to stimulate hair growth.
Basic fibroblast growth factor works to bind dermal papilla cells, preventing cell migration. This ensures that the amount of cells necessary to stimulate hair growth will stay in the desired area. This growth factor also aids in the process of angiogenesis, thereby stimulating hair growth by acting directly on papilla cells, while also stimulating local vascularization.
Glutathione is a Tripeptide and one of the most powerful antioxidants found in the human body. Its function is to protect cells from toxins such as free radicals. Modern science has shown that there are many health benefits in its concentrated medical use, including the treatment of hair loss. Glutathione nourishes hair follicles, aiding in the cellular exchange needed to produce hair, thus slowing the progress of hair loss. The treatment of alopecia with Glutathione was also shown, in some cases, to stimulate inactive hair follicles to begin growing new hair.
Biotin helps restore hair loss. Biotin is used to treat the condition of hair loss or alopecia and this is, in fact, one of the most important and well-known commercial uses of Biotin.
